You mean like you are doing now? You must have a sad life to ask similiar questions on two different accounts!

How can I email a poster made on scrap booking for the computer?

It’s Scrap booking by Nova Development.
It has a choice "export image". Will that do it?
I’m not sure I want to try it. Because I don’t know if that will get rid of it completely.

    Try it.

Can a travel agent accept a holiday booking from a 17 year old without parental consent?

Posted by admin on December 20th, 2010 and filed under booking | 2 Comments »

My son has booked a holiday for him and his friends with a travel agent for a £10 deposit. The holiday is totally unrealistic and we have now established the tour operator does not accept booking from under 18′s. We have tried to cancel but the agent wants £90 per person – is the booking not void as it does not meet the conditions of the holiday firm?

It would seem to me that they have to refund his money. Inform them of his age… they cannot contract with minors.

How old does the oldest person on the booking have to be?

I’m planning on booking a holiday with Virgin Holidays to stay at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, International Drive, Orlando, Florida for two weeks for June 2011. How old does the oldest person on the booking have to be to stay at the hotel?

I got denied bar time accommodations for the MI bar exam, how can i manage my time?

Posted by admin on December 16th, 2010 and filed under accommodations | 2 Comments »

I just got denied time accommodations for the MI bar exam, how can i manage my time? Is there something to help me in managing time? I was diagnosed with ADHD and Reading disability. I have a very hard time managing time. Any ideas???

Can you appeal the denial? If not, take the bar exam and if you do not pass, submit more extensive documentation in support of time accommodations for the next bar exam. If you had time accommodations in law school, you should be given them for the bar exam if your state gives them for the bar exam.

What are some other energy needs that Russia might be met without relying nuclear facilities?

What are some other energy needs that Russia might be met without relying nuclear facilities or other enviromentally dangerous means? ( As to say, what else can Russia use as energy besides using nuclear power due to the damage that Chernobyl caused back in 1986)

you don,t know much about nuclear power. this is like never driving again because your neighbor got drunk, and wrecked his car. do a little research on this completely man made screw up. the rest of the world is rapidly embracing nuclear power generation. it works, doesn,t blow up, is amazingly energy dense, has minimal carbon foot print, does not create three headed fish……… i could go on. i did my research on this topic. i live in northern Illinois. we have eleven functioning nuclear reactors here. i,ve lived here all of my life. i,m 63.

why was steerage considered the worst accommodations on ships traveling from europe to america?

Posted by admin on December 13th, 2010 and filed under accommodations | 1 Comment »

A- the steerage ticket cost all of the money that most travelers had.

B- illness spread quickly through steerage because it was crowded and dirty.

C-traveling in steerage involved a journey that took weeks or even months.

D-many passengers in steerage were denied entry by inspectors at Ellis Island.

There had never before been a thorough investigation of steerage conditions by national authority, but such superficial investigations as had been made, and the many nonofficial inquiries as well, had disclosed such evil and revolting conditions on some ships that the Commission determined upon an investigation sufficiently thorough to show impartially just what conditions prevailed in the steerage.

The old-type steerage is the one whose horrors have been so often described. It is, unfortunately, still found in a majority of the vessels bringing immigrants to the United States. It is still the common steerage in which hundreds of thousands of immigrants form their first conceptions of our country and are prepared to receive their first impressions of it.

The universal human needs of space, air, food, sleep, and privacy are recognized to the degree now made compulsory by law. Beyond that, the persons carried are looked upon as so much freight, with mere transportation as their only due.

The sleeping quarters are large compartments, accommodating as many as 300, or more, persons each. For assignment to these, passengers are divided into three classes; namely, women without male escorts, men traveling alone, and families. Each class is housed in a separate compartment and the compartments are often in different parts of the vessel. It is generally possible to shut off all communication between them, though this is not always done.

The berths are in two tiers, with an interval of 2 feet and 6 inches of space above each. They consist of an iron framework containing a mattress, a pillow, or more often a life-preserver as a substitute, and a blanket. The mattress, and the pillow if there is one, is filled with straw or seaweed.

On some lines this is renewed every trip. Either colored gingham or coarse white canvas slips cover the mattress and pillow. A piece of iron piping placed at a height where it will separate the mattresses is the " partition " between berths. The blankets differ in weight, size, and material on the different lines.
