  • How long can a horse stay in a sweat lodge safely?

Posted by admin on January 28th, 2012 and filed under lodge | 3 Comments »

You’ll all be pleased to hear that I have overcome the technical difficulties of constructing a horse and human sized sweat lodge. Now my horse (Marley) and I are planning on going on a vision quest. My last vision quest lasted all night (about 9 hours), would it be safe for Marley to be in a sweat lodge for at least that long… possibly longer?

I think you should have no problem with that, Just warning horses have some wacked out vision quests some times… he may get frightend and want to sleep in you’r bed with you the next night because horses are big wimps… but who doesent like it when their horse sleeps with them? as long as they dont fart to much… hopefully he has been sticking to arbys?

What is a good hostel/hotel to stay in downtown Dublin?

Posted by admin on January 19th, 2012 and filed under hostel | 7 Comments »

Hello everyone, I am planning a trip to Dublin, Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day this year, and want to do so i the most cost effective way possible. I was hoping someone would have some insight as to which hotel or hostel my friends and I should stay at. We were hoping to be close to the downtown area. And also if anyone knows of any really cheap airline services, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Kind of funny hearing it described as ‘downtown’.

Normally they describe it as the ‘city centre’.

What does the house represent in the jungle?

Posted by admin on January 12th, 2012 and filed under house | 1 Comment »

In the novel, The Jungle by Upton Sinclair, what does the house represent.
Jurgis and Ona want to by a lovely house they see in an advertisement, but when they see the house it is run down and old.
What do you think this represents?
    Corruption?

I’m reading the book right now too and I think that the house represents the mirage that the government presents society with. They promise a decent house with lovely trimmings and more, but the reality is the exact opposite. I think the house represents the struggle that society (Ona and Jurgis) is faced with and the lies that are told more often than the truth. This is how they tricked immigrants and took their money.
