My husband is an over the road truck driver who travels with his dog. Is anyone aware of where there are truck stops with dog grooming facilities located?

It’s a self-service pet wash, open 24/7. As far as clipping & other grooming services go….maybe your husband could pick up a pair of clippers and try his hand at it himself? With a little practice, simple pet clips are not that hard; a lot of drivers I know do it themselves!

It’s pretty good at bringing up a listing for any kind of business, anywhere you travel. I’ve used it to find doctors and pet supply stores, I am sure dog groomers would show up and your husband could find a place to drop his trailer and bobtail to the groomers. Hope this helps!

Allot of times, the congregation is suppose to help by chipping in more money, and possibly free labor on projects that they can do. If still not enough, you may have to have bazaars,garage sales, or events that could help to raise more money, like a big big "Revival"" that brings in more people and more money!! The family is going on a cruise to a few Hawaiian islands (Maui, Hawaii, Kauai) and we will be in a different port every day. For days where we don’t want to go on a sight seeing tour, are there any hotels that will let you hang out at their facilities -pools, beach– for the day? What would the fees be? How do you schedule something like that? Thanks for any help you can provide.

i am not aware of any hotels that let you use their facilities and amenities for just a day. i could be wrong and i am only familiar with maui. as far as beaches you can just go to any public beaches on any islands for free. there are also public pools if you don’t want salt water. are you traveling with children? if so, on maui there are places like the maui golf and sports park and maui ocean center which is next to each other. i was a maui resident for 19 and a half years…(im 20 and a half now…lol. but i don’t live there anymore.) and i never get tired of going to these places especially when i have my niece, nephews and little cousins.

I am doing research on lifestyles of people living alone to produce a conceptual design for "singleliving community".
The general concept is that each single person would have his/her unit and then share some facilities with others.
What do you think each person needs for private use and what can be shared? What public facilities can be envisaged for such community?

Why does the water in the toilet change colour after I use the toilet facilities?

Hi all! I have an old friend that I know is in Newton, IA correction facilities and I would like to write him a letter. Does anyone know the address or how I would go about doing that? Do I need permission? Do I need to send stamps for him to write me back? I’m kind of new to this (lol) so any help would be appreciated.

I am assuming that he has been charged and is sitting in jail pending trial ( not convicted yet) ? If this is correct, he would more than likely be sitting in the Jasper County Jail. Their address is 2300 Law Center Dr, Newton, Ia , 50208. The phone number to the jail is (614) 791-7081.

Any person that is incarcerated ( and the charges they are being held under) are considered public knowledge.

Best advice here would be to call the number above and ask for visitation or records ( visitation has the same data base and is usually less busy). Identify your friend and get his inmate ID number ( this is called his booking number).

Any letters you write him would be addressed as:

Inmate Name and number
Name of the jail
Address
City, State and Zip Code.

While you have visitation on the phone, ask them what their rules are for mailing in envelopes and/or writing paper. I live and work in Ohio and here, regular stamps are considered contraband since they have been found to have microdots of LSD and other drugs on them. Only embossed envelopes can be mailed in and only in certain quantities.

Please remember that anything in writing will be inspected for contraband and/or gang related items ( gang writing and signs). Write in English only. If the letter cannot be "understood", it will be contrabanded and he will not get it. Note here; the letters are not "read", but scanned for obvious contraband. Write whatever you like, just remember where it is going.
