What is a good hostel/hotel to stay in downtown Dublin?

Hello everyone, I am planning a trip to Dublin, Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day this year, and want to do so i the most cost effective way possible. I was hoping someone would have some insight as to which hotel or hostel my friends and I should stay at. We were hoping to be close to the downtown area. And also if anyone knows of any really cheap airline services, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Kind of funny hearing it described as ‘downtown’.

When staying at a youth hostel in Japan should you bring a gift?

I’m going in February and didn’t know if I should bring gifts for the owner/s of the youth hostel I am staying at.

Also how expensive is okinawa opposed to say Tokyo? I’ll be staying primarily in Naha but will travel around a bit.

I’m planning a trip to NYC and was hoping a hostel would be a solution to my lack of funds and my under 18 age. Is there an minimum age for booking a bed in a hostel? Or could this vary by location/hostel?

If they ask you for a credit card you could possibly get a card with stored value on it. (a drug store like CVS or walgreens may carry this) that you probably don’t have to be 18 for.
