Deserved man of the … Deserved man of the series. He was more or less our only player who actually showed some backbone with the bat, and his 161 at Lord’s was ultimately the reason we ended up winning that game. And his partnership with Trott in the 2nd innings at the Oval was vital in batting the game away from the aussies, second only to Broad’s fantastic bowling spell.
