Soccerref and Joan B are abolutely right. Hotels swimming pools are for hotel guests only, it’s one of ameneties they pay for. Don’t even try Maui No Ka Oi’s strategy, due to liability reasons, pool attendants are taught not to let outsiders (non-guests) to use the pools, the attendant will check with registration if you’re a guest or not, even after you flash your room key. He will get you kicked out if you’re not registered guest, and hotel can press charge you of tresspassing.

We go to many hotels & use the pool, order lunch & cocktails, & no one ever bothers us. I don't know what their policies are, but I guess if you're spending money ordering food or drinks, they don't mind. I guess you could call some hotels first ,or just go there like you're staying there like we do.

As far as I know the hotel pools are strictly for the guest of the hotel only. If you are only spending a day on each island you will need the whole day if you want to see anything.

There are no pools that will let you use their pool for free. Hotel pools are for hotel guests only.

As far as the beach, the beaches here in Hawaii are free. You don’t have to pay to access any beach here in Hawaii so you I would suggest you hang out on the beach.

i am not aware of any hotels that let you use their facilities and amenities for just a day. i could be wrong and i am only familiar with maui. as far as beaches you can just go to any public beaches on any islands for free. there are also public pools if you don’t want salt water. are you traveling with children? if so, on maui there are places like the maui golf and sports park and maui ocean center which is next to each other. i was a maui resident for 19 and a half years…(im 20 and a half now…lol. but i don’t live there anymore.) and i never get tired of going to these places especially when i have my niece, nephews and little cousins.

as far as kauai and hawaii; i hope someone else can help you with that. have fun on your cruise and enjoy your stay in beautiful hawaii nei…aloha!
