I am doing research on lifestyles of people living alone to produce a conceptual design for "singleliving community".
The general concept is that each single person would have his/her unit and then share some facilities with others.
What do you think each person needs for private use and what can be shared? What public facilities can be envisaged for such community?
Thank you

I personally wouldn’t want to share anything with people. I suppose clothes washing fascilities can be shared, some people share bathrooms, but have their own sink or just get a bed in a room. Depends on the person I guess but I have all my own fascilities accept for a shared garden

I think for themselves…
A bathroom , bedroom a closet and place to get dressed.
Maybe give them a microwave and a mini fridge…And a small tv
Then combine….
A big living room area , a main kitchen ?

Well, a rec room isn’t much fun without other people, nor is a pool. As far as toilets and stuff goes, I wouldn’t want to share that..

Depends on your target age group. If you are targeting single 20 or 30-somethings, I can guarantee you that people will usually want their own sleeping quarters. Just think of a college dorm. There really isn’t too much of a difference. Actually, people choosing to live by themselves usually do not wish to share much with anybody.
