      Older people like to economize and travel the world too. But I would only go with my girl scout troop or my church group, not with strangers.

      Good stuff! Thanks for the overview for those who don’t know. Haven’t done any backpacking yet, but plan to take a 2-monther around Europe next year. Yea!

      This was was like $25 a night for an 8 bed dorm. It is pretty safe, they have locked doors and codes and keys to get into the rooms plus lockers in the rooms for your bags. The biggest downside of sleeping with strangers is the chance of having a tarrific snorrer. I love my ear plugs.
