Reading through some of these comments makes me see how little hope there is for the youth. They joke about rape. Would they joke if it happened to their own mother? What is wrong with the world where rape is a laughing matter? The world has enough cruelty, why add more to it. Why not be a man? Stand up and be a man. People need to stop romanticizing life on the reservation, in books, and film. This docu shows the truth of the ugly side that many do not see. It’s not like you go to the rez and have some dances with wolves experience. I digress. It is extremely disappointing to see a people who claims to hold women sacred as the life giver and the mother, to beat them, rape them… desecrated. Not all men are this way but many are. Regardless of race. May those lost find their way back to sacred traditions.
