Normally they start allotting left out quota seats prior to 2 hours of departure time of train and released the reservation chart about half n hour of departure of the train normally.

Normally 2 hrs before the departure, because all the quotos gets filled and there will be no changes before 2 hrs so the chart will be prepared 2 hrs before the departure.

It is normally prepared 2 hours before trains scheduled arrival and affixed on a board on the platform half an hour before train's arrival.
